Light

The Trails of Light at the Denver Chatfield Botanic Gardens was great - I think I got some good shots for you... perfect night to highlight the display - really dark with just a teeny sliver of a moon.
Heyyyyy - we call our little one room out-building with heat and electricity but no runnin' water our bunk house... It is not so cute and tidy as this one. Ours is jam crammed with all our crap!

Lots of people were enthralled by the chickens... like calling out "heeeere chick, chick, chick" and trying to peer in the chicken house windows and asking the kiddies if they could see the chickens.. that is funny to me for some reason.

The chicken house using the flash... Chicken house decorated up right purty without the flash. When we had chickens, we called their house/pen/coop "Chicken Shanty Town" and we used to run lights all over it at Christmas time. Figured when you are white trash, it is more funny to actually HIGHLIGHT your white-trash-dom than try and hide it... so this decorated chicken house totally brought me back to the days of our very own Chicken Shanty Town.

This display reminds me of Thing One and Thing Two from Dr. Suess.
This tree was SO incredible... it looks so much better big on our computer screen at home. Not sure this pix does it justice.

The stars of the show were a team of Belgian draft horses. All the kids were asking if they could pet them and the horses were great hams.
