What do you think?

Is it wrong to pull up to the new trainer's place with my polka dotted car listeing to Barry Manilow's Copacabana to give my gelding, Rosso, his warm mash?

Furry Husband was driving and as we pulled in there was Anthony, another cowboy around our age and two older, grizzled looking cowboys....

Yup. Pulled in with my polka dotted car, listening to Copacabana.....

Her name was Lola - she was a showgirl - with yellow feathers in her hair and her dress cut down to there....

We parked and got out of the car. Furry Husband looks at me and says, "Those guys are gonna come over here and kick my ass."

See? Do you see how much Furry Husband loves me? Setting aside his pride and manly displays in front of a herd o' grizzled, muscle-y, sun-leathered cowboys?

Anyway, none of them came over to kick any one's ass. We said hello and chatted for a moment and drove away in my polka dotted car with the last half of Copa....

Her name was Lola - she was a showgirl - but that was 30 years ago, when they used to have a show, now it's a disco - but not for Lola - still in the dress she used to wear - faded feathers in her hair - she sits there so refined - and drinks herself half blind - she lost her youth and she lost her Tony - now she's lost her miiiind.....

Hi Shanster,
Umm, Copacabana?? No wonder Furry husband was worried ... I'm glad no can of whupass was opened. I will admit to liking Barry Manilow when I was very young, but now when I hear anything by him, I just think of Kathleen Turner sorting her recyclables or driving around in between murders in John Waters'
Serial Mom.

I once made my friends do a "Soul Train Line" to Copacabana. I am proud to say I own Ultimate Manilow! ;)

IVG - I LOVED Barry when I was a kid. And Serial Mom is AWESOME!

Cheryl - I know huh?

Foxxy - I am proud of you too! Ultimate Manilow? Way cool! I used to have his greatest hits... but I moved on to CDs and donated all my old casette tapes. :(

*insert photo of polka-dotted car here*

Sidenote: How weird is the word "polka-dotted"?

I love it I sometimes forget it's polka dotted and someone is staring at me and I get all, WHAT are they looking at?! Like I want to stick my tongue out at them or something and then it hits me... oh, yeah. *ahem* Polka dotted car.

I am a serious goof.

Bwah ha ha ha! I love your car. The folks around there must get a kick out of you.

I'm sure I gave the cowboys SOMETHING to talk about when I left anyway.

Your car is awesome! I love it. I bet the cowboys were secretly jealous that they didn't have a cool polka-dotted (okay it is a funny word) car!
