Who Me?

This cute little dog, Toe... accompanied me to a tracking test Sunday. I volunteered to bring food and wanted to meet people, see how a tracking test goes etc.

On the way to Chatfield State Park in Denver, I noticed he was chewing on something. It wasn't making any noise so I knew it wasn't a rawhide or a nylabone or something.

What's he got?

I reached over, keeping my eyes on the road and fished around in his mouth. I pulled out a damp, wrinkled up piece of paper. What's this?

I looked at it more closely over my steering wheel.

CRAP! It's my ONLY $10! It costs $6 to get into the state park... I'd left my ten spot in my cup holder. I contemplated showing up and asking the park attendant if they could please accept it since it was my only money.

I decided no way would anyone take this wet, wrinkled piece of former currency. I found a gas station with an ATM.

Sigh. Good thing the little f*^#er is so cute!

well he left the serial numbers intact...what a smart doggy. I think you can take it to the bank and they will replace it since he didn't eat ALL the numbers...funny though. Then little Toe can have a pig ear perhaps? I gotta look at youtube and see if they show any tracking..everytime you have mentioned it..I always think I should check that out. It really sounds like a fun event!

Money must taste good. Better keep him away from your wallet!

Hey . . . at least it wasn't the carpet in your car. (ahem) I still feel bad about that.

The little shit. It could be worse though. We're picking ticks off our dogs lately. Tick season, like everything, else is really early this year.

Heather - I don't think it looks mostly in tact? Tho maybe if I brought in the other half in a baggie from the yard they would believe me? grin

Kelley - yeah, I'm learning! I haven't had a young dog in a while...

DebH - he still gets his chewees! I'm such a softie.

Cheryl - no kidding!

Hez - I'd rather have $10 than carpet in the cargo area of my car! Besides, I don't even have that car anymore...

Susan - ticks sorta freak me out! Dunno why, I grew up in NE and we had to check our scalps for ticks if we played outside in more wooded areas... a friend in H.S. had a dog where a tick got missed and it fell off all engorged. We scooped it up in a cup and put it in the street in a tire track... next car came along and POP! We could HEAR it 'splode. Gross!
